Daisy Alpert Florin is a writer and editor. Her essays have appeared in Brain, Child Magazine, Full Grown People, Kveller, Halfway Down the Stairs, Mamalode, Minerva Rising, the Dartmouth Alumni Magazine, Role Reboot, The Mid, Motherwell Magazine and Under the Gum Tree. A native New Yorker, she lives in Connecticut with her husband and three children. Daisy graduated from Hunter College High School, Dartmouth College and has a master’s degree in American Studies from Columbia University as well as a master’s degree in education from Bank Street College.
Daisy is a recipient of the 2016 Kathryn Gurfein Writing Fellowship from Sarah Lawrence College and is currently at work on a novel. Her essay “Crash” was listed as a notable essay in The Best American Essays 2016 edited by Jonathan Franzen.
