Daisy Alpert Florin’s work has appeared in Full Grown People; Motherwell; Brain, Child; Kveller; Under the Gum Tree and the Dartmouth Alumni Magazine, among other publications. Her essay “Crash” was listed as a notable essay in The Best American Essays 2016 edited by Jonathan Franzen.
Daisy is a recipient of the 2016 Kathryn Gurfein Writing Fellowship at Sarah Lawrence College and was a 2019-2020 fellow in the BookEnds mentorship program where she worked with the novelist Susan Scarf Merrell.
A native New Yorker, Daisy lives in Connecticut with her husband and three children. She graduated from Hunter College High School and Dartmouth College. She has master’s degrees from Columbia University and Bank Street College of Education.
